Creating a Rule

How to Add a New Rule

To create a new rule, press an  “Add rule” button.

Enter rule name and create the first section. Let’s consider them all:

 

 

  1. Product filter section

    2. Product filter selects products which would be affected by rules.

  2. Product discount section

    3. Adjust discount type and quantity.

  3. Role discount and Bulk discount sections

    4. Add bulk discounts and discounts by user roles

  4. Free product section

    5. Choose a gift for your customers

  5. Auto add to cart section (PRO)

    6. Automatically add into the cart a product with discount price

  6. Cart adjustments section

    7. Set up a discount, fee, or shipping depending on the execution of a rule in the shopping cart

  7. Cart conditions section

    8. Add more tweaks to the rule

  8. Discount message section (PRO)

    9. Add advertising message to the discounted product

  9. Limits section

    10. Add limitation to the rule

After creating the necessary sections, press the “Save changes” button.

Congratulations! You’ve created your first rule!

Rule Patterns

Too many rules sections? Just choose one of the rule pattern from the “Select discount type” drop-down and necessary sections add automatically. Let’s consider available discount types

  • Product Discount

    • Select this type for simple discounts, e.g., 30% discount to the certain product/category. View all examples for this discount type. Rule creates with sections: Product filter, Product discount.

  • Gifts

    • Select this type for presenting a gift to the customers, e.g., gift for cart subtotal greater than 100. View all examples for this discount type. Rule creates with sections: Free products, Cart conditions.

  • BOGO free and discounted

    • BOGO – “Buy One, Get One” type of discount. There are 2 types of BOGO:

    1. Free. Use this type for discounts like a “Buy one, get second for free”. View all examples for this discount type.Rule creates with sections: Product filter, Free product
    2. Discounted. (PRO) Use this type for discounts like a “Buy one, get second with 99% discount”. View all examples for this discount type.Rule creates with sections: Product filter, Auto add to cart.
  • Bulk

    • Select this type for bulk discounts, e.g., from 2 to 4 products get 10%, from 5 to 7 get 20%.View all examples for this discount type. Rule creates with sections: Product filter, Bulk rules.

  • Role Bulk

    • Select this type for bulk discounts for certain user roles, e.g., bulk discounts only for the wholesalers.View all examples for this discount type. Rule creates with sections: Bulk rules, Cart Conditions.

  • Role Discount

    • Select this type for simple discounts for certain user roles, e.g., 30% discount only for customers. View all examples for this discount type. Rule creates with sections: Role discounts

  • Cart Discount

    • Select this type for discounts that would be applied only inside the cart, e.g., 10% cart discount in certain day of week. View all examples for this discount type. Rule creates with sections: Cart adjustments, Cart conditions
